Terms of Service for Yard Guard LLC

Welcome to Yard Guard LLC! We’re excited to have you as a customer. Please take a moment to review our Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.

2. Services Provided

Yard Guard LLC provides professional pet waste removal services to help keep your yard clean and sanitary. Our service details are outlined on our website. We reserve the right to place a yard sign in your front yard after completing service to notify you that your property was serviced and to help attract new customers.

3. Safety and Accessibility

To ensure effective service, you agree to:

  • Maintain safe and unobstructed access to your yard. If we are unable to access your yard, the visit will still be charged.
  • Notify us immediately of any changes in the number of pets.
  • Keep your yard regularly mowed and free of excess leaves or debris, as this may impact service quality.

4. Weather Policy

Severe weather conditions may make it unsafe or impossible to perform scheduled cleanups. If this occurs, we will skip that visit and remove double the waste at your next scheduled service. You will still be billed as usual since twice the work will be completed on the next visit.

5. Holiday Schedule

Yard Guard LLC does not operate on the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day (January 1)
  • Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day (First Monday in September)
  • Veterans Day (November 11)
  • Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)
  • Christmas Day (December 25)

If your regular service falls on one of these holidays, you will still be billed, as double the waste will be removed on the next visit. If you prefer to scoop during the holiday week yourself, please notify us in advance for a prorated bill.

6. Payment Policy

  • A valid payment method must be on file before services begin.
  • Your payment method is securely stored in your client portal and will be charged after your initial service.
  • Your initial visit will be billed at the time of service.
  • Moving forward, you will be billed monthly on the same date you started service (e.g., if you start on the 6th, you will be billed on the 6th of each month).
  • Non-payment will result in service suspension until the balance is paid in full. A yard reset fee may apply based on the time since the last cleaning.

7. Free Initial Scoop Promotion

  • If offered, a Free Initial Scoop is only valid for first-time customers who remain active for at least three (3) months with a good payment history.
  • Any additional services during the initial scoop will be billed at standard rates.
  • Returning customers may be ineligible for this promotion and may be subject to an initial cleanup fee based on the number of dogs and time since the last service.

8. Scheduling & Cancellations

  • To schedule or cancel a service, contact us by phone or email.
  • We appreciate at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations.
  • If your pets will not be using the yard for an extended period (e.g., vacation), let us know in advance to temporarily pause service and avoid unnecessary charges.

9. Service Area

Yard Guard LLC services specific areas. Please verify that your location falls within our service zone before signing up. Contact us if you are unsure.

10. Privacy Policy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

11. Liability

While we take great care in our work, Yard Guard LLC is not responsible for:

  • Damage to lawns, landscaping, or property resulting from normal service operations.
  • Injuries or issues related to pet behavior during service.
  • Please ensure pets are kept inside or restrained during service visits.

12. Changes to Terms, Fees & Promotions

We may update our Terms of Service, pricing, or promotions at any time. Customers will receive at least two (2) weeks' notice before significant changes take effect. Continued use of our services after changes implies acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Termination of Service

  • Either party may cancel service at any time with written notice.
  • Any outstanding balances must be paid within 15 days of cancellation.
